South East Vancouver B.C.
A Loud Metallic Grinding Sound Is Heard From Above
Posted: July 22, 2006
HBCC UFO Research Note: Over the last few years I have received reports that are similar to this one below. Strange loud sounds coming from above or over people's homes, but there is no rational explanation found for what the cause of the sound was. I would like to ask any others who may have experienced this same thing in the South East Vancouver B.C. area to please write to me with a detailed report. Thank you, Brian.

Date: July 20, 2006
Time: 5:05 a.m.

Message: Hello Brian, I am writing to report a horrendous shrieking grinding noise that woke our entire family on the night of July 20/21 06. It occurred at 5:05 a.m. in the area of South East Vancouver. I awoke panic filled, to a sound that I have never heard before, and quite frankly I have no idea what could even make such a noise. My dog began barking, and then howling alerting the family that something was going terribly wrong. My wife and I sleep on the top floor bedroom with a large deck just outside the door. As I awoke to the sound, my first thought was that a jet plane was about to crash into our house. I ran outside to the deck to try and find the source. The noise can only be described as a very loud shrieking, with a metallic grinding sound that shook our neighborhood, but as I stood on the deck, in my underwear, there was absolutely no motor noise or sight of a plane. To me it sort of sounded like a pack of coyotes, a huge flock of geese, and a million seagulls being put through a huge wood chipper with a bad set of bearings, with a low underlying, chanting, yelling voice. Just complete distress!

Object Zig Zagging & Making Weird Sound
Posted: July 23, 2006
Date: July 20, 2006 Time: Between 1:55 am - 2:05 am
Looking south-east
Approach Direction: Came from west, played a little zigzags while I was looking south east. Departure direction: Then went north Witness Direction: Looking south-east

Description: It looked like 2-3 flashing lights aligned, doing a pattern of colors one after another, starting blood red (stayed longer) then green then blue, looping. Doing zigzags in the sky. For sure it wasn't a plane ! I couldn't see the shape really because it was nighttime. The lights always stayed face to me (even in the zigzag) doing the red, green, blue thing so that's why I knew it wasn't a plane.Color/Shape: Red, green, blue flashing lights and a weird motor sound or mostly like if it pushed air to fly !! Sorry hard to explain.
Height & Speed: Approx 15000 feet of the ground, quick zigzags in the sky, not quick enough to loose it with your own eyes.
Mitre Lake Outside Of Yuma, Arizona Sound Of Metal Grinding On Metal
Date: Three years ago.
Time: About 3:30-4:00 a.m.

Hello Brian, I had to report this after I read the report of the terrible sound in Vancouver. Three years ago I was camping beside Mitre Lake outside of Yuma Arizona, it was about 3:30-4:00 am and a thin misty cloud cover had just put an end to my sky-watching for the night. It had been 120F. in the shade that day, so needless to say we were the only campers, there were no lights or buildings nearby. I was just falling asleep when the sound of metal grinding on metal woke me up. It seemed to be moving toward us very slowly, over the low rugged desert mountains. It sounded exactly like stripped gears on a car -- if the car had a hundred gears and was as big as a house -- and over your head! There was nothing visible, the sound passed above us and over Mitre Lake. The whole incident took about fifteen to twenty minutes. My friend said it must have been a migration of locusts but, A. we couldn't see them and B. there were no dead or dying insects on the ground or on the lake surface when daylight came.
Thank you Brian Vike,, HBCC UFO Center, Houston, B.C., Canada.

I know that sounds strange, but I spent the next couple of hours on my back, trying to think what could possibly make a sound like that. My 21 year old daughter also was awakened by the noise, and I could hear her downstairs in the living room trying to calm our howling dog. She was completely panicked and at a loss for words as to what could have made that noise as it scared her badly, it was so loud. My wife also heard the shrieking, and like the rest of us, has no idea what could make such a sound. I wouldn't have been surprised at all to see a jet engine come crashing through the low cloud cover, and hit any of the houses on our block. Whatever made the sound was directly above our house, above the low cloud cover, and seemed very, very close. The sound slowly moved south west and towards Richmond, still shrieking loudly, where I later heard on the radio they had a "mysterious power disappearance" from the power grid, and were blacked out for a few hours. I am wondering if anyone else heard that God awful sound. Thanks.

Communicating with the Grays 07-Jun-2006

From December of 1986 until October of 1997, I was in continuous, often daily, contact with the grays. I have written little about it in part because there is no proof and I feel that my words will, for the most part, fall on deaf ears. People simply won’t believe me. More importantly, though, there has been the huge question of how to write about it in a useful way. Simply describing the experience would be a waste of time. They cannot be described simply. To communicate their impact and their content, I had to find another way.

In October of 1997, we moved from upstate New York to Texas, and the grays briefly tried to follow, but in the end did not. In June of 1998, I spent a phenomenal 45 minutes with a man who I think might have been involved with them in some way. I transcribed my conversation with him, and have published it in my little book, the Key.

In August, I will publish a work of fiction about the grays, which is intended to bring them to life as people, and to reveal what it is like to be with them. It is also my hope that the methods of communication that I demonstrate in the novel will prove useful to people who are in contact and having difficulty experiencing a rich and consistent relationship with them. I've been asked where to get this. It will be in bookstores on August 22.

Communication is the center of the problem, and communicating with them is completely different from everything that we do among ourselves that results in the transmission of information.

They are aware that they can be shattering, and are extremely concerned that they not overwhelm us. All we have that is of any interest to them is our freedom, on every level, and insofar as direct contact with them might compromise it, they avoid that with a passion, and their passion is intense beyond anything that we know among ourselves.

It is said that they are emotionless automatons, heartlessly carrying out cruel scientific experiments on helpless victims, stealing their eggs and semen, raping them, and leaving them with suppressed memories and shattered lives.
All of which accurately reflects one level of our experience of them. But that is not all, not by a long shot. It is as equally true to call them wonderful as it is to call them dangerous. They can act in an emotionless manner, but that’s because they are so very complex, both as individuals and as the array of specialized forms that present themselves to us. Some of their forms may represent separate species, but many of them appear to be the outcome of engineering the one species into different body types, presumably to perform different specialized functions.

I cannot call them aliens from another planet because I don’t know if that’s what they are. Indeed, my years with them have left me with questions that it has taken another ten years for me just to begin to elucidate.

I will be frank with you about what I am trying to do with my life: I am trying to create a relationship between us and the grays. Right now, we do not have a relationship, for two reasons: our attitude toward them is dysfunctional; and they do not know how to reach into our culture without destroying it. My ambition is to make the relationship fruitful, and to enable them to interact with us openly without wrecking our lives.

And why might they do that? The reason is that our minds live inside time and theirs do not. Therefore, they know things that we do not, and do not want to know. The world looks very different to them than it does to us. I have seen our world through their eyes, in a process that they taught me. Before I describe how they did that, let me explain what it is that they are able to do: Using their mastery of awareness, they are able to do things like move consciousness into an extra-physical state, and deposit it in another body. This seems impossible, of course, in a society that is so devoted to denying the existence of anything that it doesn’t understand.

It’s a habit that we need to break, because it does not help us, and, in fact, impedes our scientific progress. In the New York Times in 1903, an editorial was published stating that heavier than air flight might be possible, but would not happen unless science devoted a million years of effort to solving the mystery of it. Nine days later, the Wright Brothers flew, and yet neither the New York Times nor the rest of our intellectual culture has corrected the weakness of mind that led to the absurd failure represented by that editorial.
It is this same weakness that has caused us to be so unable to cope with the presence of the grays in our world. But they have not been unable. In fact, they have acted with capability and been effective.

The grays’ effort to communicate with us in this way began in 1954 and ended in 2004. In July of 1954 they carried out a test over Washington DC. During this test, they carried out basic attempts to engage us in conversation. These attempts were met with silence. They also directed their attention to specific individuals, among them Dr. Paul Hill, who was then NASA’s chief engineer.
While Dr. Hill proved to be an excellent observer, he was unable to detect or respond to the messages that were directed at him. Others who were reached in this way were aware of the communication, but transmitted it to the world in distorted ways that were not useful.

This failure was anticipated, but it was necessary from an ethical standpoint that the test be conducted. The failure caused them to withdraw and move to another tactics of contact, that it was anticipated would work. Beginning in 1952, they had been engaged in a plan that has been very effective. This plan involved a number of different activities. Initially, carefully selected children were addressed in such a way that their expectations about reality were shattered. They took advantage of a devastating intelligence program that was leaving some children emotionally maimed, but was also opening the minds of others to new possibilities. There were only a few thousand of these children worldwide, but they were enough to form the nucleus of what is essentially a communications device made up of human minds that has been, in effect, “implanted” in our culture. It takes the form of millions of close encounter witnesses whose experiences are brought into focus by these few thousand, who comprise the great majority of the witnesses who speak out publicly about what has happened to them.

What has been communicated are two things: the first is a suggestion that we do not know our true history; the second is that planetary changes are putting us in peril of our lives. My part in this has been twofold: first, to publish the Key, which suggests that we do not understand who and what we are, and offers ideas that might help us go in new and more fruitful directions; second, to publish Superstorm, which describes what could happen if we don’t gain control over our effect on the environment. This was expressed again in the film the Day After Tomorrow, which had been seen by nearly a billion people worldwide.

Beyond that, I am also involved in personalizing the grays and giving them dimension. This is the purpose of books like Communion and the Grays. The movie of Communion failed, but I am hopeful that the Grays, which is the more important of the two projects, will also be amplified into the culture in the form of a movie.

The project is intended to accomplish two things: to give the reader or the moviegoer a clear sense of what sort of people the grays are; and to reveal by example methods of interacting with them that cannot be explained directly in languages like ours, which are designed to impart information across elapsing time. The grays do not communicate in linear conceptual structures, and in order to understand how they do communicate, it is essential to enlist not only logic, but imagination. The Grays is a story and not a work of nonfiction, because only story can really reveal this. You must feel it in order to understand it, and there is no way to accomplish this except through story.

I learned to communicate with the grays with a certain efficiency. When I say “grays” though, I do not mean only people who appear more or less like the individual I had painted for the cover of Communion. This presence is far more complex than that.

I spent the last few years of my time in upstate New York in the frequent company of seven people, who would come at about eleven each night to meditate with me. They were extratemporal, in the sense that their meaning and their communication did not depend on a linear structure. Certainly, through their eyes, a tree would appear to be a tree, but they would see, also, the seed and the spent logs, the memory of the tree and the absence of memory. They would see from before the seed, down the intricate web of trees stretching back into the fading thunder of the past, and all of this at once, when seeing the tree. To live outside of time is not to be delivered from duration, but to see all duration, all the time.

These people took three forms: the cloaked form, where they appeared as dimly glowing orbs about twice the size of basketballs. They would move, in this state, with such a sense of ease and direction that it was startling to observe them. Things like that—balloon-like—are supposed to float and bob about, in our experience. They moved, instead, with absolute deliberation and clear intelligence.

They would also appear, when they were in the house, as small people, no more than three feet tall, wearing simple tunics cinched at the waist and looking all very much alike, like identical twins. When they first appeared, I wanted to touch and taste and smell them, and one of them laid his hand in mine. It felt like holding a little bird, warm and nervous and infinitely delicate. I smelled his hand, and his skin smelled like the skin of people in the third world, who never bathe, a sharp, multi-layered and slightly rancid sweetness, not pleasant to a western nose used to the scent of soap on skin.

On the last night we were together, when the house was packed up and I was about to do one of the hardest things I had ever done, which was to move away from that place, I asked the one of them I had come to know very well, to let me see him as he really was.

I waited, but he did not appear in the room. He had walked on the roof for a while, so I knew that he was here. Finally, I left the meditation room and went to bed. A few moments passed and I saw a crystalline blue light glowing across the front yard, as if the windows of the mediation room were blazing with fire.
I went to the window, and there appeared around the corner of the house a fantastic shining object, extremely bright, it’s needle-thin rays pricking my skin where they touched it. In the light there were small objects floating that looked like little sculptures of fetuses made of gold.

The rays, where they touched me, also touched my truth, what is best and worst within me, and took me with them deep into myself. I knew from long experience that the journey into one’s own truth is an agonizing one, because the grays cannot help but take you there, but this one was so very deep and so very intense that I simply could not bear it. He withdrew, then, back around the side of the house, and left my life.

Thus ended a grand time, eleven years of contact of the most intimate and highest sort, so fruitful and so very deeply useful that I have ever since been on a mission to somehow communicate its sense to others. Because if I could make it make sense, then the gray might emerge, and we would gain, from that revelation, the chance to transform ourselves, and lift ourselves into the grandeur of being that is our true home and our destiny—or no, the beginning of our destiny. Because I can assure you, this world that we have made, of battle and false beliefs, of gorging on material things, is not nurturing of the human spirit. Far from it, the world of Wal Mart and Harrod’s and the corner store, of the closet full of clothes and the garage full of metal monsters—this is not our world, this is not our true home. No, indeed, and we are all homesick and wanting to go home, and this is why we fight here as we do, like rats grown bitter from wandering a maze from which there appears to be no escape.

If our culture can somehow find a way to turn toward our visitors and face them openly and frankly, we have a chance to escape this maze. If not, when we are going to remain here until this expression of the species collapses, and then have to spend thousands of years climbing up out of the rubble and starting over again, and then come to the same place we are now, at the point of connection with the broader culture intelligent species in the universe, and once again either pass the test or fail it.

What will make us fail now are three things: the continued refusal of our active intellectual culture to accept the reality of the grays; the refusal of those who do accept their reality to be open to it in an objective manner; and a failure on the part of those who do understand to achieve effective communication.

Effective communication does not mean learning how to talk with them in some unusual manner—say, via telepathy. It means acting in ways that usefully address the three problems mentioned above.

We are in contact. The grays are communicating with us through large scale cultural artifacts like books and movies, and small ones like the close encounter in the night. It’s up to us to respond to these communications in appropriate ways, as the brilliant creatures that we are, with care, maturity and an open mind.

From UFOs NW, Bill Puckett, Investigator

Name: D. H., Age 41, male
Date experience began: Week before New Year’s (2004) – Friday
Time of Day: When Red light was in trailer, it was around 11:30 p.m. (see below)
Where: Eatonville, WA about 36 miles west of Mount Rainier. Trailer was near garage at a friend’s house.

We were recently exposed to an interesting case involving a possible abduction from a travel trailer in Western Washington State. The alleged incident began on Friday, 26 December, 2003 just before midnight. D. H., age 41 and male was wakened in his Roust-a-bout travel trailer at approximately 11:30 p.m. by a sound, light or movement that, at this time, he is unable to fully identify. However, upon waking he clearly saw a red orb that was approximately three inches in diameter. "It was the size of a baseball," he stated. From the surface of the red ball, to another inch or so, a mist of red light shone. The total diameter, including the misty edge, was about five inches. Although the red light was "hazy" as regards its distinctness, it lit up the entire interior compartment of the trailer. "It was an extremely bright light," he said.

At the time, his travel trailer was parked behind a friend’s home near the garage in Eatonville, Washington, about 36 miles west of Mount Rainier. Prior to being wakened, D. H. was sleeping under four blankets and between two sheets. He was wearing no clothes at the time, but the blankets were sufficient to keep him warm, even though the trailer was kept at approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The trailer was a fully self-contained travel trailer, but had no shower.

It should be noted that D. H. is an extremely tidy person, almost to a fault. He showers (indoors) every day and washes his hands before eating, etc. Perhaps because he is a master plumber by trade (licensed in the State of Washington), he has developed a habit of always putting things away properly and in their place after using them and carefully. In that same regard, he always locks all doors and windows at night. His trailer was "spic and span" clean that night.
The light that woke D. H. up that evening was at the foot of his bed, in the center, near the entryway to the trailer. It was floating two feet above and one foot further down from his feet (away from his body).

He was lying on his left side when he opened his eyes and saw the light. He lay there on his left side for a minute and a half watching the light before turning over to his right side very slowly maintaining his head upon the pillow – and then watched the light for approximately another minute. This was when D. H. noticed the time on the clock. "It was 11:30-something," he said.

He told us that he had never seen anything like this in his entire life. The red light (orb) was highly luminous and "lit up the trailer in an amazing fashion while hovering in the exact same spot," he stated. Ordinarily, he couldn’t have been able to even read the time on the clock in the dark.

Then, he leaned up on his right elbow very slowly. The light moved about a half an inch further inside the trailer (to the left) and then bolted out the door so fast, he couldn’t actually see the light’s movement. D. H. was unaware until that moment that the trailer door was open. He always closes and locks that door -- and even always checks on it by shaking the handle and pushing on it several times to insure it’s locked. (This door would be on the passenger side of any vehicle pulling it.)

It should be noted at this point that D. H. had had just previously repaired the entire right side of the trailer including the door.

The door slammed behind the light that "flew" out. Interestingly, D. H. said that he was not frightened the entire time. He was simply amazed at what he had seen. He had never ever seen such a light.

It actually made him jolt when trailer door slammed. He was still under the covers.

At this point, he lit a cigarette and lay there (after turning back on left shoulder) thinking about what he had just seen until he finished the cigarette. This took three to five minutes, he said. After that, he got up, turned on the lights (two lights– one over stove and one over bed area) and got a glass of water. Having poured the water, he then unscrewed the bulb over the stove, got back in bed, covered up and lay there thinking about what had just happened. He turns the light over the stove on and off by screwing and unscrewing the bulb.

While only the light over his bed was on, he lay there thinking about this event for a full 25 minutes before leaning up and unscrewing the bulb over his bed (his manner of turning off the light). He was thinking, "Why did this happen? Why was this going on?" for those 25 minutes. He told us that he never doubted that it happened. "It was NOT a dream." He is still very emphatic on this point!
In any event, after the 25 minutes had elapsed, he went to sleep.

It wasn’t until he awoke the next morning that he noticed that he had a bump on the back on his head. It was a good sized bump and yet, he felt better than he had in months. The bump only hurt when he touched it – and even then it was only slightly sore. In fact, he only knew the bump was there when he scratched his head because he felt an itch where the bump was. The bump protruded outwards out about half an inch. (Investigator: It’s still slightly noticeable one month later.) Of note is that D. H. noticed no appreciable loss or gain of time during this incident.

Indeed, it was only after he got out of bed the next morning (about 7:30 a.m.) and had turned off the alarm clock, turned on his coffee machine and was sitting on the foot of his bed when he noticed the itch mentioned above and how "happy" he felt. This was not like anything (drugs, alcohol, whatever) that he had ever felt. He was just in "a really good mood." It was at this time that he first noticed the itch, the bump and the slight soreness when he touched the bump. But again, it should be emphasized that none of these things changed his happiness.

He sat at the foot of the bed waiting for the coffee to be ready and thinking about the events from the night before and how happy he was. He looked over to his right and noticed that the door trim on the floor (which sticks up about a full inch) had a one-and-a-half inch dent in it. The trim was dented outward. That piece of trim was previously perfectly straight and he knew that because he had only recently fixed that entire side of the trailer. Incidentally, you can step on the trim as hard as you wish – even with boots – and not cause any dent at all. (We have verified this fact.) D.H. has subsequently straightened the trim.

The next night at just before 8:00 p.m., he lay down in bed, closed his eyes for a minute to relax from the day, and had a flashback for about a second and a half of someone pulling him by his ankles out of his bed. All of the covers had been removed from his body and he was terrified as he was being dragged feet-first from his bed and through the trailer door. His legs were crossed and he was dragged by two "hands" of some sort.

He then got out of his bed and then realized that the dent was probably caused by his head striking the trim at the bottom of the door. He thinks he was dropped accidentally by "whomever."

Three nights afterwards (Monday night), something jumped onto the top of his trailer (still in Eatonville) … heard a thump and then a slight scuffling. No tree was near trailer nor near garage next to where trailer was parked. This happened about 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. He then wired his door shut from the inside. He has been doing this ever since. This, even though the door can be locked. That same evening, he thought he heard something scratching around trying to open the small key-locked storage compartment (but large enough for a human to crawl through) on the side of his trailer. It has an outside covering panel.

A couple of weeks later (roughly ten days later), he visited with his mother in Western Washington. It was about 1:30 a.m. (middle of the night and everyone had gone to bed except D. H.) and he was about to fall asleep in the home when he got a flashback. The flashback was of a large dark-dark gray face (right in D. H. ’s face about two feet away) with large black or dark gray face with thin arms – he saw only between wrist and elbow and saw no ears, mouth, hair or nose. The flashback was of the Alien’s face and that face was directly in D. H.’ s face in the trailer while D. H. was in his bed. The flashback was in color and quite vivid – and "alive." It should be noted that D.H. almost never dreams in color. Although D.H. has seen such pictures of aliens, this flashback was "live" -- similar to flashback of being pulled from bed some nights earlier (above). This flashback really frightened D. H. a lot. He didn’t get back into bed until 4:30 a.m. and not to sleep until after 5:00 a.m. He wired his mother’s back door shut then and the door remains wired today.

Such flashbacks have never occurred in D. H. ’s life before.

On early a.m. (2:30 a.m.) of 19 January 2004, a dull white light (rectangular --- about 6" by 2") appeared on D.H. ‘s trailer wall – then immediately disappeared. Energy seemed to be drained from D.H. ‘s body this time – not greatly, but somewhat.

At around 2 am on February 15, 2004 the owner of the property where D.H. had parked his trailer noticed someone climbing a tree near D.H.'s trailer. When the owner went outside and yelled at the "tree climber" he saw no one nor received an answer. The owner then went to bed. The next morning D.H. said that someone had punched several neatly arranged holes in the tin foil that D.H. had spread over the exterior windows in his trailer. (Since having these experiences D.H. has become paranoid about securing locks and covering windows.) When the property owner told D.H. about the tree climber, he became very frightened.

All of this is puzzling to D.H. inasmuch as he has never believed in UFOs/Aliens and has even teased persons who do, including his own mother.

D.H. had another encounter on November 11, 2004 in Anchorage, Alaska:
Although D. H. moved to the State of Alaska in the early summer of 2004 and is/was living in Anchorage, Alaska during the Autumn of 2004 when he had another occurrence of an “alien intrusion” into his life. It occurred at 2:30 a.m. on 11 November 2004. He was awakened after having a rather prominent dream. No lights were on in the bedroom of the home within which he is living in Anchorage, but he saw the very clear image of a non-human figure in his bedroom through the mirror. No attempt to communicate (speak or telecommunicate) was made (by either), but the figure emitted a dull but noticeable white light.

D. H. could only see the upper torso and head, but was certain that the figure was fully seven and a half feet tall. Its face was very human-like except that it had the usual “gray” attributes of a small slit for a mouth, no ears and a tiny nose. The eyes were perfectly round -- not almond-shaped as is true of the "classic Gray" -- and seemed large. No hair was visible. It’s color was grayish-green and its skin was slightly pocked (not very smooth) as best he could recall. He was unable to see the lower part of the torso through the mirror; however, it was wearing no noticeable garments.

The room could not have been entered through its one door or the small crank-opened window behind the television set. He looked for and found no signs of forced entry after the “being” simply disappeared after about five seconds. This is the first strange incidence of any kind since his activities in Ocean Shores during the winter of 2004.

The Encounters Continue - Dec. 4, 2004 (Anchorage, Alaska) DH first notices large scar on rear of upper leg. He is quite frightened by this situation because he is certain that he did not get this scar from any known injury. (We have supplied DH with a camera in the hopes that he can photograph future events.)

DH Sees More Lights - Dec. 11, 2004 (Anchorage, Alaska)
Recently DH phoned and left me a voice-mail and said that he has experienced strange lights in his room in the last few days.

Apparently the lights were yellow in color and "streaked." Clear spaces were between the streaks. Recently I have equipped DH with a camera and we are hopeful of getting some photos if these encounters continue.

Investigative Notes: All of these experiences of DH are intriguing and not explainable. Outside of DH's word we have no other evidence to look at (other than the dented door trim on his Dec. 27, 2003 experience.) I know some of DH's friends and his mother. They all say that he is of sound mind and has never had any mental problems. In my discussions with DH he has assured me that he rarely drinks, does not use drugs, and has no history of mental illness or hallucinations. I do believe DH's story and I believe that he is of sound mind. However, to prove this conclusively he should have a consultation with a mental health professional preferably a therapist who has treated people who have had paranormal experiences. The decision to seek a mental health professional strictly rests with DH.

Bottom Line: We continue to investigate this intriguing case. We will update this page as more details become available.

A Solomon Islands UFO Mystery

This former RAAF engineer's startling experiences, along with his knowledge of The Solomon Islanders' long history of encounters with strange aerial craft and alien beings, sparked him to search for hidden UFO bases.

We had not long returned from the New Georgia group, where I had just bought a beautiful tropical island with white sand beaches and coconut palms, and we were desperately in need of new rental accommodation on Guadalcanal. My best friend Joseph had been helping me find a house that was preferably outside the Honiara area. As there was a shortage of livable housing, it had almost come to the point of taking what we could get.

Joseph told me of a house that he knew of at his village but he thought it wouldn't suit me as I'm a white man. I told him to stop that kind of rubbish thinking and that we should go and have a look. I knew of Joseph's village, but I couldn't place the house that he had been describing to me as we drove the roughly 70-kilometre journey westward along the coast from Honiara.

Upon arriving at Cape Esperance, Joseph pointed to the quaint little three-bedroom timber house that was on the eastern extremity of the village. It had a cement floor and a galvanised iron roof with an out-house near the grass-hut kitchen, and the most beautiful island sea view that anyone could wish for. There was a tap and shower outside with perpetual mountain spring water. It didn't bother me that there was no electricity, as I had a generator. I made up my mind to take the house, as I didn't have too many options left. While I was inspecting the house, the divorced woman who owned the house arrived, and so I formalised an agreement to move in the next day.

Late the next afternoon, we arrived at the house with a six-tonne truck and proceeded to unload all our possessions into the house. This attracted the attention of a good portion of the village folk, as I was the only white man ever to have come to live in their area.

That night, after placing a few fluorescent lights around the house, I started up the generator and sat back with Joseph and a few new friends to relax and have a beer. Later that night, when I was finding out a little more about the area, Joseph told me that I had to watch out for the "Dragon Snake" that was in the area. "Dragon Snake! What #*# Dragon Snake?" Just to hear the name of it put a shiver down my spine! They then told me that it comes out of the mountains at night and flies around. They said that the Dragon Snake, with its piercing red eyes, has been feared for generations. It was responsible for people going missing and for killing people.

"What next?" I thought to myself. All I wanted to do was relax and do some fishing in a nice, peaceful, tropical environment. Now I had to contend with some mythological Dragon Snake. I thought no more of it and put it down to one of their superstitions, of which there seemed to be plenty.

A few days went past as things started to settle down a little. I had become quite an enthusiastic fisherman with my fishing rod, and had been pulling scores of beautiful reef fish. Joseph was renowned by all in the village as being the best spearfisherman. One time he decided to do some night spearfishing, as it was easy to do at night by torchlight. So I decided that while Joseph was spearfishing, I would throw some lines in and see what kind of fish I caught.
I was cleaning fish with Ci-Ci, another good friend of mine, when Joseph came out of the water with his dugout canoe full of fish to add to our already large pile. While we were inspecting his catch, Joseph suddenly shouted for our attention: "There! There! There! The Dragon Snake! The Dragon Snake!" He was pointing to the right, down the beach.

As I looked down the beach, I couldn't believe what I seeing. About a kilometre away there was a very bright, luminous, white object flying slowly over the water. I remember asking myself whether I was really seeing it. I called out for my wife Miriam to bring my binoculars. After focusing in on the starlike, brilliantly lit object, I noticed that it was about 60-foot round and seemed to make no noise. We watched it for a couple of minutes until it submerged itself into the sea. Joseph told me to wait about 10 minutes and I'd see it come back out again - which it did! When it came back out of the water, it was glowing twice as brightly as when it went in. We continued to watch it with my binoculars as it returned to the coast in the direction whence it had come and until it disappeared out of sight over the top of the coconut trees.

Somewhat startled by this experience, we went back into the house and sat talking about this "Dragon Snake" until the early hours of the morning. They told me that if you didn't see it one night, you were quite likely to see it the next. They were right. In fact, over a seven-month period, I lost count of these sightings when they reached the 60 mark. So while we sat talking about this object, I explained the structure of the Universe to Joseph and Ci-Ci. I showed them my copy of a Time-Life book called The Universe, with its space-type pictures, and said that these so-called "Dragon Snakes" are what white men call "Unidentified Flying Objects". They were absolutely amazed, as they had spent their whole life fearing this thing with superstition and having no real understanding of it. Yet, for that matter, I was also a little fearful.

This sighting was the first of well over 60 more to follow, during which time I investigated the UFO waterfall lake base of northwest Guadalcanal and later the UFO bases of the central east coast of Malaita and central Small Malaita. This first sighting, though, had completely changed my mind about the existence of extraterrestrials, and a little investigation revealed that this so-called Dragon Snake had been in the area for well over a century. I realistically began thinking in terms of extraterrestrials inhabiting our planet.

My extensive investigation into the presence of extraterrestrials on Guadalcanal and Malaita has revealed that these supposedly "hidden to the eye" aliens have displayed unacceptable and unfriendly behaviour towards the Guadalcanal and Malaita people; indeed, there have been several outright abductions and murders. Because of this, they can't be considered friendly. For example, the grandfather of a good friend of mine was incinerated by one of these UFOs around the early 1900s. Several independent sources have verified this. Countless horrific stories can be heard throughout these islands.

During the next two weeks, I saw the UFO three more times at the same place as my first sighting. This made me question myself several times as to what I was actually seeing. It also raised many more questions. What was so interesting for the UFO down in the sea where it was submerging all the time? And where did it go when it wasn't flying around?

The part of the sea that was right in front of the village was where the Allied Forces had encountered a Japanese fleet in a great battle that resulted in the biggest loss of Allied ships during any naval engagement in World War II. This battle included the Australian heavy cruiser, the HMAS Canberra, and the American heavy cruiser, the USS Chicago. I won't go into the sad details of how they went down, but it was all a tragedy and many men lost their lives. Actually, it would be a really good idea if someone could produce a documentary about it with the submersibles they used in finding and documenting the wreck of the Titanic.

A few days later, Joseph and I went to Honiara to obtain a 23-foot fibreglass boat with engine. While we were there, I went to the historical archives to look up information about where these ships had actually sunk. Much to my surprise, I learned that the UFOs were submerging in exactly the same area where the HMAS Canberra, the USS Chicago and other ships had sunk. This was no mere coincidence, or at least I didn't think so.

At that time, I did not know there were several of these things flying around. Why the UFOs had so much of an interest in these old warships became a somewhat baffling problem for me at the time. I do remember speculating about any remaining gunpowder, but questioned myself as to why these aliens would have a need for mere gunpowder. Somewhat curious as to all these perplexing goings-on and mysteries, while still trying to maintain some form of sanity, I formulated an ingenious plan. And so I went to the nearby Department of Lands and purchased a 1:25,000 topographical map of northwest Guadalcanal.

Meanwhile, Joseph's wife had given birth to a boy, their 10th child - a remarkable achievement, I thought, for a couple in their late 20s. The child's christening was to be held the following Sunday, and Joseph and his wife had decided to name him after me. It was Joseph's normal job to hold the Sunday mass at the village church. Lord knows why! Joseph was the biggest rascal of them all! On this particular occasion there were five babies to be christened, and so a white Catholic priest from Honiara had been booked to perform the ceremony. I had bought two pigs from the Honiara abattoir especially for this event and sent an invitation to two chiefs from the area to come to my house for the feast, which was to be held on the grass outside.

The christening ceremony went ahead as planned. The pigs had been butchered and were cooking away in the hot stone oven when the two chiefs and their company arrived. It was quite a large turnout. The Catholic priest from town made a special effort to talk to me and find out what religious denomination I was.

When he'd left, I made my way to the two chiefs and respectfully introduced myself. As we were talking, I brought up the topic of the Dragon Snake. My suspicions were right: the chiefs knew a lot about it. One of the chief's brothers had been killed by it when he was only a little boy. They told me several stories of deaths and abductions, all of which confirmed to me that these UFOs are definitely not friendly. They may be friendly in other places in the world, but certainly not here.

Excusing myself, I went to the house and then returned with my local map and proceeded to ask them where the Dragon Snake's "house" was located. Sure enough, they knew where it was! It took them some time to become familiar with the map and finally agree on what they were looking at. They then pointed out the place to me: an unnamed mountain that makes up part of the mountain range which includes nearby Mount Popori. This unnamed mountain, which for the sake of convenience I eventually named "Mount Dragon", is about eight kilometres inland as the crow flies. They told me of a big waterfall high up in the mountain, with a lake beneath into which the water falls. They said that inside that lake is where the Dragon Snake lives! A further study of Mount Dragon revealed that there is a small lake in the mountain that is the beginning of a river. These fellows had no idea of topographical map language, but their descriptions seemed to have some credibility.

If what they told me was true, then it raised more questions. What was at the bottom of this waterfall lake, and how many UFOs were there? I had to stop speculating on answers to these questions, as all of this was starting to sound a lot like a science- fiction movie and I was beginning to question the sanity of what I was doing. On many occasions it crossed my mind to tell somebody - but who was there to tell, and who would believe me? Yet as incredible as this story may seem, all you need do for any proof is go to northwest Guadalcanal and ask a few of the locals. You'd be surprised at what you find out.

Early one morning, not long afterwards, Joseph came to the house to tell me that a fisherman he knew was in hospital from injuries he had sustained from a UFO two nights previously. He was from a village three kilometres east of ours. After asking Joseph what kind of injuries the fisherman sustained, he told me that apparently he had burns to most of his body. We had all been planning a trip to town, anyway, as Miriam wanted to do some shopping and see her family, so we decided to go to the hospital and visit this fisherman.
After dropping Miriam off in town, Joseph and I went to the hospital.

Following some enquiries as to where the fisherman was, we arrived at his bedside. He was covered in bandages from head to toe and was in a great deal of pain, but doped up with pethidine. Joseph began to speak with him in the Guadalcanal language to try to find out exactly what had happened to him.
He had been out fishing in his fibreglass boat at about 3.00 am, when he saw the Dragon Snake flying along. In foolishness, he started flashing his torch at it. That was when it flew over to him in an instant and hovered overhead. Panicking, he started the motor and took off to get away from the Dragon Snake, but it followed him as he "zigzagged" his way back to shore. It was during this short pursuit to the beach that it fired some form of light at him but it only partially hit him. A later inspection of his 19-foot fibreglass boat showed traces of scorching upon some of the boat's interior paint.

He said that when he drove his boat up the beach and ran into the bush, the Dragon Snake followed him to where he was hiding behind a tree and hovered above. When he moved around to the other side of the tree, it also went around to the other side. It was then that he literally got down on his knees and began to pray to God with his hands clasped in front of him. With that, the Dragon Snake moved on. After that, he stumbled his way back to his village and was taken to hospital.

It was an incredible story, but true. He definitely had no reason to be lying. These kinds of UFO encounters have happened on numerous occasions over the past century but, strangely enough, the Solomons being the way they are, reports have not been taken seriously.

After leaving the hospital, we went over to my in-laws' house to pick up Miriam. I began discussing the matter of the so-called Dragon Snake with my father-in-law, John, and explained how some of the white men believe that aliens from other worlds are the ones responsible for driving this type of flying vehicle. When I explained to John what they were commonly thought to look like - four-foot tall with big head, big eyes, four fingers, transparent skin, etc. - he told me there was a book in the Solomon Islands Cultural Museum with pictures describing this sort of being. Somewhat surprised, I asked John if we could duck into town so that he might show me this book, which he agreed to do.

Upon arriving at the museum and after a few directions to this book, there it was! This 15-page book had 14 detailed hand-drawn sketches of aliens just like the ones we are all used to seeing on television. An islander had compiled this short collection of drawings for the museum from different eyewitness accounts of these strange-looking creatures. There was an initial descriptive verse saying that the drawings were of some Solomon Islands mythological beings. What I wanted to know was: how could the Solomon Islanders know anything about these kinds of aliens, when 99.9 per cent of them had never had any significant type of exposure to white man's media? Most of the old tribal people still thought that the stars were caused by pinpricks in the sky and that the Earth was flat, so how could these pictures of alien types be explained? At the time, this became another little baffling mystery to me.

We picked up Miriam and on the drive back home I asked Joseph to tell me about the time when he, Ci-Ci and his brother Ben had encountered the UFO while out fishing. He said that the three of them were in their dugouts at about midnight when they saw the UFO. Initially, they were each separated by about 50 metres. As if curious about each of the fishermen, the UFO hovered over each of them for a minute and then departed at incredible speed toward the island of Santa Isabel. By the time all three had finally reached shore, they were spread out over a kilometre's distance along the beach. Although Joseph described the story as being funny, there was a serious side to it.

During the following weeks, I pondered on all of the previous weeks' happenings. I realised that I was most probably the first human being to have been in the position to have experienced all these phenomena, and was able to understand the significance of the unique circumstances in which I had found myself.

I was the first person in the area who'd ever realised the similarities between UFOs and these Dragon Snakes. Also, to my knowledge, I must have been the first white man to speculate on the possible location of a hidden Dragon Snake/UFO base - though I needed to do further investigation to confirm my suspicions. These kinds of unusual realisations were starting to take their toll on my keen sense of logic, but the reality of it all was that these unexpected events had actually occurred. Prior to these sightings, I was somewhat sceptical about the existence of UFOs - but my position had now dramatically changed.
I also realised the possible consequences of investigating this matter any further. Some of these were very positive, but some were also extremely negative. One of these negatives was the impact on my precious well-being. I had initially only gone to the Solomons to enjoy an early, youthful retirement and certainly had not expected to be chasing UFOs. But as a former military man, I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that this UFO was continually coming and going near ships that had been involved in a great battle where thousands of men had lost their lives in the cause of freedom. It seemed as if this UFO was robbing graves. This weighed heavily on my mind for weeks.
One night, though, while I was sitting fishing, my indecision changed. I had been watching the UFO submerge into the sea near the wreck of the USS Chicago and then surface again shining more brightly. I had my binoculars fixed well on it when I saw the lights of a ship that was travelling toward my direction. From the trigonometric perspective, the UFO couldn't see the ship because of the point that was shielding its view. However, I had both the UFO and the ship in my field of view. After about 30 seconds, when the UFO did see the ship it instantly vanished. The UFO didn't seem to go anywhere; it simply vanished as if it had turned off its lights. I took my binoculars from my eyes. I was not sure if the craft had instantly accelerated or had somehow cloaked itself. Yet it seemed that the UFO didn't mind the indigenous people seeing it, but it did mind when someone saw it who would possibly know of its real identity. If there's one thing I hate, it's sneakiness!

In any case, I made up my mind right then and there to gather intelligence on this so-called Dragon Snake by doing some reconnaissance on its movements. Switching into soldier mode, I went to sleep formulating my plan.

My subsequent investigation into the UFO's ability to cloak itself revealed that this characteristic was commonly known by all within the area and had become part of the superstition about the Dragon Snake. There are just too many stories about the Dragon Snake's sudden "disappearance" to discuss here.

The next morning I went up to Joseph's house to tell him of my plan. My intention was to place ourselves at night, high up in a panoramic position so that we could familiarise ourselves with the UFO's movements. With the map out, we began to study the area for possible positions.

From where "Mount Dragon" was situated, there was really only one way to the coast that the UFO could take without being detected flying over mountains. That was via a five-kilometre-long valley that runs in a northward direction past Mount Dragon. Earlier discussions with some of the people living a few kilometres east in that direction had well confirmed this to me. After searching the area for a suitable position that afternoon, we chose an accessible 800-foot mountain that had all the requirements we needed. And so we went home to prepare for what was becoming a military mission for me.

The next day, we gathered all the equipment we thought was required. I also loaded my 30-shot, 7.62-mm and my shotgun to take along just in case. There was also the danger of being gored by wild pigs, of which there was no shortage. My wife became quite agitated by my actions, and a heated discussion followed.

Joseph and I left at 8.00 pm to travel to our vantage position. We knew that the UFO had the habit of appearing at around 10.00 pm or 3.00 am. After parking the car in the bush, with torchlights shining we climbed up to the top of the mountain. This turned out to be a perfect position as we had a 270-degree view of the area. Because of the orientation of the mountain, we faced east. With a clear view of the sea to the left of us and the valley's entrance to the right, there was no way that we were going to miss seeing the UFO when it made its appearance - and we didn't.

Having sat up half the night, watching and waiting and having a few beers to pass the time, at 2.35 am we saw the first glimmer of the UFO's light leaving the valley's entrance. There was an air of excitement between me and Joseph. While training my binoculars on the UFO, I noticed that it was travelling toward our direction at a fair rate of speed, which we estimated later to be about 100 knots. We had been watching it approach us for close on a minute when it came past at an estimated height of 300 feet, half a kilometre away. No sooner had this UFO passed by than it took an instantaneous 45-degree turn to the left and then accelerated away at phenomenal speed. I took the binoculars from my eyes, and we watched the UFO's light diminishing over the horizon within seconds while it was still travelling at near sea level.

This whole episode was a mind-fathoming experience, even when I think back on it today, seven years later.

All our efforts had paid off. This sighting confirmed to me the information that I needed to know. This UFO definitely did come from somewhere up that valley! This was the first time that the information the two chiefs had given me had started to be proved correct.

At that time, there was only one other course of action left for me: I had to make an expedition up the valley to Mount Dragon and try to document this UFO on film. I was extremely under-funded for the manner in which I wanted the expedition to proceed, as most of my money was tied up in essential assets and I had been living off my fortnightly military pension. Even though I had most of the equipment necessary to commence, I was still short of a good video camera that could take pictures at night. I had a Kodak Instamatic, but it was useless for night work and certainly was not the calibre of camera that I required for this job. I was in a catch-22 situation. I couldn't borrow a camera; there was only one white man I knew well enough to ask, and he didn't have a video camera, anyway. As the weeks went past, every time I saw the UFO I became progressively more frustrated about my video camera situation.

One morning at 3.00 am, a couple of weeks later, Joseph and I were on the grass outside the house, husking coconuts around a fire, when we noticed the UFO. As we watched it, we observed that it was slowly moving in our direction. It started to get closer and closer, and it seemed to us that if it continued on the path it was on it would overfly us. As it progressively came even closer, we started to move to the door of the house. Both Joseph and I were standing at the door when it flew over the nearby trees and over the top of the house. The brilliance of its white light radiated the whole area as if we were standing amidst the light of a dozen arc welders at once. This was the first time that I could clearly see the vehicle's sphere with my naked eye. It made no noise as it eerily passed over us. In fact, at the time we made audible comments to each other about what was happening. After it went by, we both ran out to see it disappearing over the trees further on. Joseph had experienced this sort of thing before, but I hadn't.

After the reality of what had happened sank in, Joseph and I decided that we would go to Mount Dragon - with video camera or not. It was in my mind to confirm whether this mountain waterfall lake was really the UFO's base.
Around that time, a melancholy feeling of futile inadequacy and powerlessness started to dominate my thoughts, as though I was carrying around a heavy weight on my shoulders. This was due to my constant questioning of the reality of it all, and also because I allowed my thoughts to be weathered down because of my desperate need for a good-quality camera. I could not explain this to anyone, as there was no one I could explain it to who could understand. It was like being lonely amongst a crowd of a thousand people. I went through a time of considerable self-examination.

Strangely, I remember thinking to myself that if I ever happened to write all of this down one day, I should remember that particular time.

I would like to share some significant further research from my expeditions to Malaita in 1996, 1997 and 2002. Contrary to popular belief, NASA - or whoever that mob was - first made contact with the occupants of the subterranean UFO base in central east Malaita in 1961. This is how they began to gain what partial technology they have today. It was through blackmail. This happened because when the great geologist Mr Gropher was doing his few expeditions in the area between 1958 and 1960, he saw these UFOs and then reported back to the UK (the ruling colonial power at the time) about them.

Apparently, in 1961, a white man who claimed to be from NASA came to that part of the island and asked for assistance from my wife's relatives to take him to the UFO subterranean base entrances, which they did. I am the only white man ever to have married a woman from Kwaio, which is in that area. This NASA guy was gone a week and then returned, asking my wife's relatives for further assistance to take him back to these places.

There is a 50-metre-diameter, bottomless circular reef in amongst the surrounding 10-metre-deep coral reef a few miles north of Kwoi Island (which is on the border of the Kwaio and Kwara'ae tribes) and south of Namo'ere'ere in central east Malaita. Singalanggu Harbour is slightly further south. UFOs can be seen going in and out of that reef virtually every night.

My friends like fishing down this UFO hole during the daytime because it saves them from having to go out into the danger of the ocean and because there's a plentiful supply of big ocean-type fish that can be caught in its depths. They have let down over 200 metres of 100-pound line and still haven't been able to hit the bottom. I always think of this hole as having been made by a huge spaceship that hovered above it and shot a big laser into the crust of the Earth, for whatever reason!

On mainland Malaita, about three to four miles directly inland from that circular reef entrance is a lake which has two connected entrances/exits. When the boys are out fishing at night, they see the UFOs going in one entrance and coming out the other. A UFO coming out of this lake at dusk incinerated my good friend's grandfather, and everyone in the area knows about it. The aliens have instilled fear in these people for generations, and many people have gone missing.

In the Kwaio and Kwara're areas, there are three entrances in their jungle mountains that I know of where these "ball of light"-type UFO vehicles can be seen entering and exiting. It is my belief that these entrances are not individual bases but are all connected, making up one big UFO base under the island. I may be wrong, but I also believe that one of the many reasons why they are there is that, for reasons of their own, they are mining a very rare type of gemstone under this kimberlite rock volcanic island.

The gemstones which my wife's relatives possess have a far higher specific gravity than that of diamonds, and a refractive index such that when you put the stone in light you see your mirror image in the centre of the stone. I once had a 32.4 carat "ET stone" with these characteristics. There are some old folklore stories supporting the interest in these unique stones.

Furthermore, as there are many remnants of the Ramo civilisation that can be found on top of the island and the aliens underneath, there is every chance there is a connection. And that goes for on Guadalcanal, too.

The waterfall lake UFO base of Small Malaita (south Malaita), where I have also witnessed their activities, is easy to find. Just ask the locals, but, heading north up the passage with Small Malaita on your right, about three kilometres from Affiou, the main town, and about a kilometre up the jungle mountain is their base entrance, where they can be seen entering and exiting nearly every night and also brazenly and casually flying along the passage.

Many Solomon Islanders have told me of flat stingray-type UFOs with big round lights underneath them that hum as they go along. They sometimes see them flying low over the jungle and surfacing out of the sea near where they are fishing. The UFOs have landed near villages, and the (white or black) people who get out of them have strange grey uniforms, not seen anywhere else in the world. You can make your own deductions there.

Nevertheless, if there were ever a place that one could call "UFO Headquarters", it would have to be central Malaita. Mind you, these are only the ones I know of. Goodness knows what else there is in the rest of the Solomon Islands.

By Karin Hoppe Holloway, CHt

If S weren’t so nervous you’d never know he was being followed. Government vans and men in suits, a red eyed alien, Reptilians and Pug-nosed Humans never leave him alone.

He travels with a knapsack. Its contents are highly suggestive of his state of mind: a book on dinosaurs and fossils, a notepad and pencil, a camera (when someone’s gracious enough to loan him one), and a net. He’s always prepared for the big catch.

S is young looking for his thirty-some years. Sandy colored hair with a moustache; slim muscular build; and a pleasant, earnest demeanor are his normal aspects. He spends a great deal of his time in the woods and swamps of Southeastern Michigan looking for snakes and turtles and deer hunting. He’s incredibly observant and he can patiently sit and watch for hours. He also hunts fossils, rather obsessively. He has an incredible memory for details. He feels a kinship with all animals. He’s been on local TV and in the local papers with his strange fossils And many of the kids I teach know S because he likes to point out UFOs and aliens to them while they’re partying in the fields. Upon talking with him you would soon discover a nervous, quiet laugh and the tendency to whisper. And once you’d gotten to listen to him for a while you would soon dismiss him as being mentally and emotionally unbalanced. As far as I know, S is the closest thing we Americans have to a Crocodile Dundee as well as being the closest person in the world to the real Reptilians.

As a counselor and hypnotherapist I knew S needed my help to integrate his experiences into his life so that he could begin to have the things many of us take for granted: a job, a car, a loved one. Thank goodness he has a family which has sheltered him. S can’t keep a job because he’s too busy pointing out the UFOs which follow him to his fellow workers and customers. He can’t become involved in a relationship because all he can talk about are fossils and the Others. And he can’t relax because he takes caffeine pills so that They can never sneak up on him at night. I know; you’re thinking he’s schizophrenic. But when I’ve been with him I’ve seen the most amazing lights in the sky and on the ground and I know I’m not seeing things. I’m a certified field investigator for MUFON and I know what is and what isn’t unusual in our skies. Perhaps, as a red light in a tree once told S, "We have something in common; the woods." He is somehow an alien magnet and They are driving him crazy.

We’ve had two regressions, three nights of watching the sky, and innumerable phone conversations. We began with his telling me about his aunt’s encounter in her garage with a red-eyed creature which told her he was hiding because his ship had crashed. His Grandmother had also had encounters with spirits.

The last I heard of S the police had taken him to jail, finally, for speeding to get away from a UFO. Remarkably, he’d been stopped before and let go by the police for the very same thing leading S to believe that the police believe him. Perhaps they have gotten him to a psychiatrist by now, but knowing S, I’m sure he’s persuaded the doctor to look at the sky and I can’t wait to find out if the doc is able to see. If not, perhaps S is now chemically sedated and beginning to live a cloistered life in an institution.

S is a simple man with deep religious convictions. He doesn’t have the intellectual ability for subterfuge. He is so honest that his father wishes him to just shut up about his experiences and beliefs. I am not happy with what S has unearthed in his memory bank for it frightens me, too. I would rather ignore his warnings as those of a madman. But I have seen lights doing choreographed aerobatics over his aunt’s home and a huge light rising and falling in her back field. I’ve seen an unusual yellow light circling my home when he visits me. He has taken what I believe is the first photograph of a Pug-nosed being. And I have watched him express great emotion under hypnosis during his remembered encounters. I cannot dismiss S while I have any credibility myself.

He began his first regression as I had begun mine, surrounded by a beautiful light. It was a light ray, "like the sun through the clouds", which touched and surrounded him, making him feel its warmth. Remembering the warmth of the light deepens his trance.

When S was five he was taken hunting by his Dad and his Grandfather; he remembers standing alone in the tall weeds, screaming and crying, because the men have left him to follow their dog. The dog returns, licks his lace, knocks him down, and stays with him. "I know if hold the dog I won’t be by myself anymore... I feel better." Dad and Grandpa finally come and find them. Dad picks him up and he’s not scared anymore now that he’s out of the tall weeds. Yet, in a short while, they leave S alone again. But this time there’s something in the weeds with him.

"I should he afraid but I’m not. It’s too fast to be seen by anybody but it has stopped by me. I’m not afraid but it stays within ten feet of me, circling slowly to get my attention. It’s round; it looks like a ball with a circle around it. It’s the size of a dog. It’s playing with me. It makes me laugh and I stop screaming. It spends about half the day with me. It’s my friend. It’s alive. It’s some kind of … something, it feels what I’m feeling."

From now on S will he able to feel when his Friend is near him. On at least two occasions it saves him from hurting himself. S remembered that when he was seven he chased a mouse in the house with his older brother. As they ran by a clothesline a clothes hanger fell. It should have penetrated his eye but it was grabbed by the Friend. His brother was "freaked out" when incredibly, the hanger rested, safely, on S’s bottom eye lid, just hanging there. Another time S climbed a tree, showing off for some girls. He jumped to a branch, it broke, and he and the branch both fell to the middle of the tree. S stopped one foot from a "spike", a dead branch sticking upwards, and miraculously he did not get hurt. He didn’t see his Friend, although S said, "I felt it there. It’s been with me most of my life."

For many years S’s family has camped and gone hunting at Taylor’s Beach on Cook’s Lake, in Michigan. In regression he remembered a number of specific events, beginning around the age of fourteen, having to do with the lake. First he remembered seeing a big "V" of light in the sky as it starts to get dark. It has a round circle of light inside it. It’s very faint and perhaps 3 feet long. At times it hides in the trees; it follows him. S hears a noise in the trees and he goes to look for the interesting animal he assumes must he there. When he gets to the trees and looks he thinks, "Don’t worry about it". He then goes to the boat. where he sees something glimmering in the weeds. Now he feels and hears in his head, "No big deal". He sees a star move back and forth in the sky and he knows he’s seen it before. Later, while turtle hunting on the lake where he has caught and released at least twenty different turtles that day, he’s very aware that the "V" is in the water. He can’t see it, but he can feel its presence. It feels familiar. Whenever he rows towards it he finds more turtles.

Next year there’s a strange animal in the water. S finds it all along the edge of the lake. At first he excitedly thinks it’s a small alligator although none exist in the wild in Michigan. It has a four inch long grey head, with grey eyes. When it pokes its head out of the water and looks at him it looks like a snake or a turtle. S can see ripples of skin over skin, in little rows, with little points like a lizard on it. When he throws stones at it, it pops back up again when all other animals would just skedaddle, move away. Even three feet away from it he can’t tell what its body looks like. He feels It is intelligent and that It’s playing games with him. But he becomes very frustrated with not knowing what this creature is. All summer It, too, leads him to choice hunting spots for turtles in the lake and in the creek. S once came upon a spot which had big bubbles in the water, they were too big for even a snapping turtle, and ever curious about his unusual hunting ‘partner’ S poked a stick down into the mud. He felt It move under the stick. It was hard and bigger than he’d thought. It was moving, and three to four feet wide, but he could tell it was not a turtle. He never saw the creature again.

At the age of eight S had his most remarkable experience. "Honeycombs! I’m in them. Standing there, looking. I’m surrounded by honeycombs. There are weird white lights above me, just following me around. The honeycombs are big, bigger than me. Gigantic honeycombs. Black, dark floor. They came out of nowhere. It just covered me. I was checking the Lake out, relaxing, looking for turtles. It’s been watching me and studying me. It wants to know more. It draws me to these creatures [turtles and snakes] and It wants to know why I’m not afraid. I’m just not. My excitement overpowers my fear. There are eyeballs looking at me in the "V", both human and reptilian eyes. There are two different kinds of creatures. There are about 30 of them. All I can see is eyes and flashes of head. There are four points on top of its head, like a reptile. Two eyes are really big. They look at me and then disappear; then others come and they disappear; then the big one comes back and I’m scared. It ain’t human or animal. They’re coming out of the honeycombs, too many to count. Their eyes are in the white lights. All of them have faces. For about an hour I just see shapes of heads and eyes. They let me go. They were there and then gone."

"I’m in the woods. I’m older. Hunting. Twelve noon. I’m looking across a lake. An orange fireball! [But] the suns out. I feel fear, like we’re being attacked. Then its dark." S feels a heavy weight. He’s inside something. Black; dark. He moves ahead but he can’t see. It seems like a dream but it’s not. He feels a pressure. He’s enclosed in something; he feels it all around him. "There’s a pressure on everything and it’s real quiet. No- there’s a humming noise, like a quiet generator." He sees his friend, the Object. It’s a disk, a ball with a circle, like the rings of Saturn. It’s alive. "I feel it, it feels me." It interacts with his feelings.

Now it’s starting to get lighter. He’s going through something. It has cracks of light in it. He’s moving towards something lit up, still going through the darkness. There are white lines moving, like passing through a tunnel. He’s walking, being led; it’s "making me go through it". He feels some pressure, again, and then he’s left in the light. "I‘m inside a spaceship. I see the woods through the cracks." He sees a face with round eyes. Its a skinny face It has a round hole for a nose and a slit for a mouth. There’s a light by the face and it’s talking to him, telling him what to do. He now knows that this is an examination tube.

"They’re distancing themselves. This thing I’m in, it’s germ free. Its dark but when light comes in it comes in and disappears, like openings- I don’t understand- like a bottle or part of the space ship." S says that the tube is alive; it moves. It comes off the main body of the ship. He’s in the tube so that They’re not exposed to human diseases. The being is taller than S but all he can see is its face. And the white cracks that he can see through move as though the tube were breathing.

There’s a big machine. It’s scary: spooky. It’s taking something out of his body; out of his ear. Then something is put back in. His ear itches. The machine leaves. "It happened so fast so I’m not scared." This has something to do with the creature in the lights. "The lights get brighter, the fear gets gone."

The machine is hack! S becomes very agitated. "Moving my spine. Wants to know how I function. When it enters my spine it will know all the inner organisms in my body." "The pain is there for a reason," he’s told. More pressure. "It’s chosen me because it knows I’m not afraid" but now it stops showing him what’s going on because he is afraid; and then he feels better. "They find me unusual because I’m not afraid to pick up anything alive and hold it." They show him his first encounter with a snake. It bit him and there was blood but he was happy. He had overpowered his fear.

Another memory begins with nine flying saucers which came down low, just over the treetops. "One is above me, it’s not big enough for me to get in; only if I scrunch down could I get in. There’s a red light on the bottom, strobing, flashing. I’m mad because They won’t tell me why this is part of my life." I direct S to find the "why’ within himself. He finds it "too scary" so I direct him to go to his safe place movie theatre and to view the reason there.

"I see teeth. One, big bunch of teeth, A jaw, top and bottom. It’s a meat eater. Green flesh, looks right at me. That’s all it’s doing; it fills the whole screen. We’re walking around in the honeycombs. It’s intelligent. It communicates by looking at you. It puts weird thoughts [in my head]: it’s going to land, people are going to go crazy because we’ll see Them; society’s going to turn upside down. Something’s spinning around now and I’m going down a tube. Now I’m on the ground and it’s left. I’m confused; it seemed like a dream. I liked it. It’s a giant reptile and it’s scary but I liked it. It called me by my name. It’s watched me since I was born. It showed me pictures of myself on a screen in the honeycomb; I was catching animals. It was a leader; the others are in the distance, just eyes. Lots of little ones and big ones in the honeycomb. They’re related to the dinosaurs of Earth but they’re intelligent. I’m supposed to tell people about them; let them see and understand just by my being me. Others don’t approach me like the Big One. They just want to quit hiding. They’re tired of hiding."

"The fossils have made me study. They’ve trained my eye so I can observe Them. I watch how They work and I’m not scared. When They do come down They will come down for me. They’ll save people but They’re gonna … The red-eyed creature is harmless, light from his eyes is how he talks. Eye lids flutter faster, it gets redder and the more he can communicate. He’s always been with me and my family. He’s protecting me from the Reptilians. They’re strong, the strongest of all aliens. He keeps me from being eaten. They do abduct people and They do eat us. We are in danger."

"The Others come together when the Reptilians are being mischievous. They stop them by forming a web to stop the ships. They won’t keep on doing this because of the way we are; we’re destroying ourselves. They’re going to let the Reptilians come down. They’ll let me know when They’ll let the Reptilians come down because of the evil. They’ll only eat those who are evil."

"I see dead people in a space ship. They’re inside something. Being interbred with something half alien, half human. Clean organs in solution. Some are half alive. Pug-nose, trying to make better ones. They like to confuse us. Something coming at. me- aReptilian. It’s eating one of us, the insides of a person. They eat a lot of Abductees, those reported missing. They travel and if they see someone they want they just take them. Can’t shoot them. They won’t let us.

People will fight amongst each other after seeing what they do. There will he chaos. Can’t avoid it. Flesh will he gone; fowls of the air; flesh eaters. They’ve always been here and we destroy things when they leave things alone.

They have landing zones where they like to commune. Hill Crest. Hines Park. Too late because there are buildings there now. It’s their cycle; They have not been here for thousands of years. They have to have zones where they land. They have to have these spots to land. Creatures of all sizes, thousands and thousands: little ones run from big ones. W (another investigator for MUFON) was right- the creatures interact with me. Universe as we know it will come to an end sooner than we can know."

Now you’ve heard S’s warnings. There’s more, but I believe that these were the essential memories to share with you. S is not emotionally well balanced; I was not able to bring complete peace into his life but a great deal of psychic pressure was removed from him by his remembering. At least he now has a reason for why he is constantly plagued by his obsessive search for fossils and plagued by UFOs both day and night. I’m not urging you to believe him. It is just that we cannot ignore him.

Upwards Of 100 Black Objects & A Golden Yellow Disk

Sarnia Ontario, Canada

Date: July 15 2006
Time: 9:20-9:40 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Modeland beach, North West over Lake Huron possibly over the U.S.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: Multiple
Shape of objects: Small dark circular, Huge circular Bright Yellow / Orange.

Full Description of event/sighting:

Hello, tonight around 9:20pm I was looking in the horizon across Lake Huron from Modeland Beach here in Sarnia Ontario Canada when I noticed these little black "things" kind of flying far off in the distance to the north west. They were kind of acting like a swarm of bees flying from the left to the right and kind of randomly moving up and down really fast. There was many of them but the numbers I could see kept changing rapidly and then they would all be gone. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I didn't tell the people I was with at this moment that I was seeing this.

Then I noticed a bright light over the lake to the west close to shore and flying very low to the north east, approximately only 100 feet off the ground. I recognized it as a helicopter. As it got closer it was probably 300 feet away from shore and probably 100 feet in the air, we could see it as a plain black helicopter, no markings at all, it did make sound just like a normal helicopter, but it just didn't resemble any helicopter that I've seen before. On top of it, it had a "probe" sticking up on the front like a spike out on an angle, it was just very weird. As it flew by I didn't see any of the small black objects. After the helicopter passed I said, "that was weird" and asked the people I was with what the color was, they confirmed that it was black and had no markings.

I follow this stuff quite a bit and I have researched a lot into all aspects of the paranormal and check out this website all the time, so I have a fair share of knowledge on this subject. I then told the people I was with that black helicopters are associated with UFO's and weird events. Then I told them about the weird black objects I was seeing and they could see them too.

By this time it was probably 9:30pm and we were all watching the sky now. It seemed as if the swarms of black objects were getting bigger, I couldn't count them because they were moving so fast, disappearing, fading away, and there were a lot of them. At first I was seeing approximately 10 maybe 20 of them, then by the time we were all watching we could see upwards of 50 to 100 and more.

They were always moving from the left to the right of the sky, moving in all directions but never backwards, like a swarm of bees flying to a location. Very weird, then they all disappeared at once and we could see a golden huge yellow disk shape appear in the northwest where the black objects seemed to disappear. Everyone saw this and were in disbelief. The little black objects looked like tiny specks compared to this "craft", it was swaying from left to right very slowly in the same location. It was glowing bright yellow to gold and only stayed in the location for about 2 minutes then just disappeared before our eyes. We were all like "wow, what just happened!" We didn't see any more weird things in the sky after this. The time was 9:39pm, I checked as soon as it left.

We stayed on the beach until 10:00pm and didn't see anything else weird. I was glad to have witnesses because every other time I have seen weird things in the sky no one else has been around except two times. I have seen many UFOs and I know that there is other life out there, It's just the laws of nature. Another thing I want to add is that this weekend here in Sarnia we have what we call Bayfest where big bands come and play and lots of people come here, I don't know how many but its an outdoor festival that usually sells out so there are thousands of people here in one location.

Anyway thank you for your time and your great site and have a good one.

Thank you to the witness for the really interesting report.

Thank you Brian Vike for this report too!

Dying Forest: One year to save the Amazon

Time is running out for the Amazon rainforest. And the fate of the 'lungs of the world' will take your breath away

Report by Geoffrey Lean in Manaus Published: 23 July 2006

Deep in the heart of the world's greatest rainforest, nine days' journey by boat from the sea, Otavio Luz Castello is anxiously watching the soft waters of the Amazon drain away. Every day they recede further, like water running slowly out of an unimaginably immense bath, threatening a global catastrophe. He pointed out what was happening on Wednesday, standing on an island in a quiet channel of the giant river. Just a month ago, he explained, it had been entirely under water. Now it was jutting a full 15 feet above it.

It is a sign that severe drought is returning to the Amazon for a second successive year. And that would be ominous indeed. For, as we report on page 12 today, new research suggests that just one further dry year beyond that could tip the whole vast forest into a cycle of destruction.

Just the day before, top scientists had been delivering much the same message at a remarkable floating symposium on the Rio Negro, on whose strange black waters this capital city of the Amazon stands. They told the meeting - convened on a flotilla of boats by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of the Greek Orthodox Church, dubbed the "green Pope" for his environmental activism - that global warming and deforestation were rapidly pushing the entire enormous area towards a "tipping point", where it would irreversibly start to die.The consequences would be truly awesome. The wet Amazon, the planet's greatest celebration of life, would turn to dry savannah at best, desert at worst. This would cause much of the world - including Europe - to become hotter and drier, making this sweltering summer a mild foretaste of what is to come. In the longer term, it could make global warming spiral out of control, eventually making the world uninhabitable.

Nowhere could seem further from the world's problems than the idyllic spot where Otavio Luz Castello lives. The young naturalist's home is a chain of floating thatched cottages that make up a research station in the Mamiraua Reserve, halfway between here and Brazil's border with Colombia. Rare pink river dolphin play in the tranquil waters surrounding the cottages, kingfishers dive into them, giant, bright butterflies zig-zag across them and squirrel monkeys romp in the trees on their banks. And an 18ft black caiman answers, literally, to the name of Fred; gliding up to dine abstemiously on sliced white bread when called. There is little to suggest that it may be witnessing the first scenes of an apocalypse.

The waters of the rivers of the Amazon Basin routinely fall by some 30-40 feet- greater than most of the tides of the world's seas - between the wet and dry seasons. But last year they just went on falling in the worst drought in recorded history. In the Mamiraua Reserve they dropped 51 feet, 15 feet below the usual low level and other areas were more badly affected. At one point in the western Brazilian state of Acre, the world's biggest river shrank so far that it was possible to walk across it. Millions of fish died; thousands of communities, whose only transport was by water, were stranded. And the drying forest caught fire; at one point in September, satellite images spotted 73,000 separate blazes in the basin. This year, says Otavio Luz Castello, the water is draining away even faster than the last one - and there are still more than three months of the dry season to go. He adds: "I am very concerned."It is much the same all over Amazonia.

In the Jau National Park, 18 hours by boat up the Rio Negro from here, local people who took me out by canoe at dawn found it impossible to get to places they had reached without trouble just the evening before. Acre, extraordinarily, received no rain for 40 days recently, and sandbanks are already beginning to surface in its rivers. Flying over the forest - with trees in a thousand shades of green stretching, for hour after hour, as far as the eye can see - it seems inconceivable that anything could endanger its verdant immensity. Until recently, scientists took the same view, seeing it as one of the world's most stable environments.

Though they condemned the way that, on average, an area roughly the size of Wales is cut down each year, this did not seem to endanger the forest as a whole, much less the entire planet. Now they are changing their minds in the face of increasing evidence that the deforestation is pushing both the Amazon and the world to the brink of disaster.

Dr Antonio Nobre, of Brazil's National Institute of Amazonian Research, told the floating symposium - whose delegates ranged from politicians and environmentalists, to Amazonian Indian shamans and Roman Catholic cardinals - of unpublished research which suggests that the felling is both drying up the entire forest and helping to cause the hurricanes that have been battering the United States and the Caribbean. The hot, wet Amazon, he explained, normally evaporates vast amounts of water, which rise high into the air as if in an invisible chimney. This draws in the wet north-East trade winds, which have picked up moisture from the Atlantic. This in turn controls the temperature of the ocean; as the trade winds pick up the moisture, the warm water that is left gets saltier and sinks. Deforestation disrupts the cycle by weakening the Amazonian evaporation which drives the whole process. One result is that the hot water in the Atlantic stays on the surface and fuels the hurricanes. Another is that less moisture arrives on the trade winds, intensifying drought in the forest. "We believe there is a vicious cycle" says Dr Nobre.

Marina Silva, a fiery former rubber-tapper who is now Brazil's environment minister, described how the Government was finally cracking down on the felling by seizing illegally cut logs, closing down illicit enterprises and fining and imprisoning offenders. As a result, she says, it dropped by 31 per cent last year. But even so, it has only returned to the levels it was in 2001, still double what it was 10 years before. And it has reached far into the forest after the American multinational Cargill built a huge port for soya three years ago at Santarem, some 400 miles downriver from here. This encouraged entrepreneurs to cut down the trees to grow the soya.

The symposium flew down en masse to inspect the damage this had caused - vast fields of beans destined to feed supermarket chickens in Europe, where until recently there had been lush, trackless forest.

Priests and community leaders who were campaigning to protect the forest told us how they had received repeated death threats. So far about a fifth of the Amazonian rainforest has been razed completely. Another 22 per cent has been harmed by logging, allowing the sun to penetrate to the forest floor drying it out. And if you add these two figures together, the total is growing perilously close to 50 per cent, which computer models predict as the "tipping point" that marks the death of the Amazon. The models did not expect this to happen until 2050. But, says Dr Nobre, "what was predicted for 2050, may have begun to happen in 2005." Nobody knows when the crucial threshold will be passed, but growing numbers of scientists believe that it is coming ever closer. One of Dr Nobre's colleagues, Dr Philip Fearnside, puts it this way: "With every tree that falls we increase the probability that the tipping point will arrive."Brazilian politicians say that the country has so many other pressing problems that the destruction is unlikely to be brought under control, unless the world helps to pay for the survival of the forest on which it too depends.

Calculations by Hylton Philipson, a British merchant banker and rainforest campaigner, reckon that it will take $60bn (£32bn) a year, less than a third of the cost of the Iraq war.The scientists insist there is no time for delay. "If we do not act now", says Dr Fearnside, "we will lose the Amazon forest that helps sustain living conditions throughout the world."

I have had contact/sightings and encounters for many years. I was only 2 &1/2 when they first started in 1949. My parents, older brother and I were all in the car which my dad related was paced by a cigar shaped ufo. He said that the “ ship” would speed up when he sped up, and it would slow down when he slowed down. It was very close to the car and traveling about at about 25-50 feet skimming the open field that dad was driving along. We had been at my grandmother’s home. It was a week day night as my dad had to go to work and my brother to school ( he was in the first grade ).

I had heard the story many times. It was out on S. Commercial the N/S Highway through town. This would have been about 4 miles from my grandmothers’ house and about 12 miles from our home. It was just before my dad passed away that I was sitting on the couch with him and asked him again, what happened, to go over it one more time as I wanted the correct information. My mom was in the kitchen and walked into the living room where dad and I were talking. I said “ dad was just telling me about the sighting you all had when you left grandmother’s house out on S. Commercial. She said “ NO! “ I said “ What’ she said “ No it was not on South Commercial it was on Market Street . My dad turned to look at her so fast you would have thought it would have given him whiplash. He said “ No !”

So I said well what was it? Dad said it was out South Commercial and Mom said it was on Market NE. Market NE was within a few blocks of our home. I asked mom if they stopped the car to watch ( dad said NO! ) mom said “ Yes, we stopped and watched” I said “ Did you get out? “ Again “ dad said No he almost snapped it, and mom said “ Yes we got out and watched it as it was crossing the house ( goose house ). This was a house that they raised pigs and geese and it had a very distinctive odor. She said “ it was so low it almost hit the roof of the goose house as it was crossing it. Dad was very upset by this time.

But then I asked her if she remembered any of it and she said “ I have some marks that were not there before. So she proceeded to tell me and show me that she had 6 small match head size brown spots on her back, where the middle bar strap would hit. It consists of 3 small spots that formed a triangle and there were 2 identical triangles end to end forming a diamond. The size overall would be about 3 -4 inches from top to bottom. Then she showed me the 2 deep blood red spots above and below her naval. Like blood blisters deep red under the skin. Again she swears they were not there before the sighting. Finally I asked about scoop marks, she asked me what they were. I described them and she lifted her walking shorts she was wearing and said “ Like these? “ There at the top, center of each upper thigh was a nickel size scoop mark/dimple looking spot.

It went a bit further and dad said they had come home, called the airport to report the sighting. Dad said that the man at the airport said “ Yes we saw it come over, it was not making a sound and it was going so fast they would not have been able to track it, even if there had been a plane available to use, which there wasn’t. There was not any entry of this event, entered in the log books of that evening. If the airport closed at 11:00 PM , and we left my grandparents at 9 PM , that would mean that we were ( somewhere ) for 3 hours for the 12 mile trip. Mom said I did not sleep that night.

I do not recall any of this but something happened to me and it was many years later that I guessed at what it was. When we would go to grandmothers after this event ( again I was less than 3 years old ) but the problems as I can recall them started when I was about 6 years old. We would pass a auto parts store and I would turn my back from that side of the car and stare out the other window. I would bite my arm to keep from screaming out. But I could feel and hear the silent screams inside. This continued till I was about 11-12 years old and for whatever reason, stopped, ( we moved away from the town ).

In checking out the store some years ago to try to figure out what bothered me and what I was afraid of, it was a radiator store and had long dark hallways with rounded tops to the hallways. When you looked down the hallways, you could see the hoses and tubes all hanging down from where they would hang them to store them before they were sold, or needed in the shop. It struck me that these tubes may have been a memory of something I saw the night the UFO paced our car.

I have had many more. One of the most recent was July 1998 when I apparently went driving and called a friend at 2:45 AM and told her I was watching a UFO which I was chasing in the car and it was at the football field of the local high chool I had attended and she said I asked her to call the UFO investigator in Seattle Wa and tell them about it and it was not an airplane. She said the line totally went dead after that. So I checked, saw that the front and back doors were unlocked and my car was on the opposite side of the driveway than where I usually park. I drove over to the school and wondered if I would recall anything. I knew I needed to find the house with the tan roof, as that is where I had been watching from. I glanced at the paper where she had written verbatim the words she took off the answering machine from my call. I was shocked to see there was Nothing on the paper about the tan roof, it was a real memory.

This one I have to share. I can only tell you that I believe my sons. They are both married with families now and really did not want to talk about this.We were living out in the country about 1970 ( this was about 1 mile from the 1949 sighting ), anyway I was pregnant and we were living on some property that belonged to my grandfather. We had some small farm animals, chickens, etc. This property was large and deep. It went way back to an old shed, that I used to love to explore that was filled with all kinds of “ junk “ that grandpa had brought to the barn/shed to store. There were some trees and boys being boys they wanted to build a fort. I was concerned for them getting hurt and I did not drive as yet. Unknown to me they had made a tree house. Pieces of wood formed the ladder going up and then scrap wood formed the floor of the fort.

Several years ago we were chatting and the subject turned to UFO’s etc. Then my oldest son proceeded to tell me a fantastic story. He said “ he and his brother used to play with the neighbor kids in the fort they built. I asked which kids ? He said “ the bald headed ones”. I asked what he meant and he said these bald headed kids used to show up and play with them. I asked their names and he did not know. I asked what they talked about and he said “ They did not talk, but we knew what they were saying “ Then his brother showed up, caught the drift of what I was talking about and said “ did you tell her about the time I cut my hands? I said “ No, I did not know about that ".
So he said they were climbing in the fort and I had come outside and called them in to lunch. They were fearful they would get in trouble for having the tree house/fort and so the younger of the brothers’ said he slid down the ladder and in doing so, cut his hands very badly on the nails sticking through the wood. He said he was really scared not from the cuts or pain, but because I would be really upset with them for building a fort after they had been told not to.

He said one of the bald headed kids came over, took his hands and just held them for a few seconds and the bleeding and pain stopped and when he looked, there was no marks where he had been cut by the nails. Again, both of these men swear they are telling the truth. I would love to get more information from these events.

They really don’t want to talk about it too much, but what a wonderful experience and a real Encounter of the 1st kind. My sons are now 40 and 39 and would have no reason to lie as they had not told me anything before 2003.
More if you are interested.Charlotte K.
